Vehicle Seizure & Arrest

At 1850hrs on Wednesday the 8th of July 2026. PS 7402 LAYTON has stopped a white Renault Clio on Denton Lane in Chadderton. The driver attempted to fool police by providing police with identity details of his deceased brother however PS 7402 LAYTON knew this was an attempt at deception and his real identity was confirmed swiftly. The driver held no licence and no insurance. The vehicle was seized and will likely be crushed.

A search of the vehicle was completed and a quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were located. The driver also tested positive for both Cannabis and Cocaine on a roadside drugs wipe. 

The driver was arrested for:

Driving without a licence

No insurance

Possess Class A

Possess Class B

Driving whilst over the specified limit for Cocaine

Driving whilst over the specified limit for Cannabis

He remains in custody at this time
